The Tyne is deservedly known as the ‘Best Salmon river in England’ for the number and quality of fish caught. However the Tyne catchment has growing and valuable trout, grayling and coarse fishings, with brown trout up to 3lbs and one of England’s most established Dace populations. So there is plenty for everyone to enjoy.

 

You need a national rod licence to fish on the Tyne - buy yours from the environment agency.
