The Strategic  Action Plan identifies, prioritises and communicates the issues facing the complex system which is the Tyne catchment and sets out the Actions and Activities to assist in the conservation, protection and improvement of rivers, streams, standing water bodies , surrounding land and all associated wildlife and flora.  Sustainable environmental, economic and social improvements will result from the Trust’s work on the ground and will be supported by initiatives to increase knowledge and awareness of the importance and beauty of the Tyne and its catchment.

Our Vision and Programmes of Work were determined from detailed consultation during the Action Planning process. We continue to encourage with stakeholders and the local community though our projects and events.

The Tyne Rivers Trust will apply a scientific approach in all work, ensuring that any project undertaken utilises sound and scientific principles and research adopts best practice where appropriate.
