Trust's Global Charity
29 November 2010
We might think we're having it tough at the moment. There is certainly plenty of disruption to work and school routines but at least we know it is temporary.
Repeating the gesture of last year; Tyne Rivers Trust has donated money to WaterAid to purchase a handpump and train an attendant to maintain and repair it.

For families in developing countries, frozen water in the pipes that provide water direct to kitchens and bathrooms is not always their priority, but drawing water up through a brand new handpump which keeps out creepy crawlies and disease while the water stays clean and safe certainly is. Providing independence through training ensures that the pump will provide a reliable source of clean, safe water.
